A Place for Ace is a reputable and registered Massachusetts-based 501 (c) (3), formed as a way to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters in southern states. These shelters are under staffed and over capacity. Approximately 1.5 million dogs are killed every year due to overcrowding.
Our mission is to select adoptable dogs from kill shelters and rescue them from unnecessary euthanization for space.
Our customers are our dogs and we are dedicated to making sure they are safe, cared for and loved. We provide adopters with the tools they need to be successful dog parents.
We also educate on the importance of adopting vs.buying from breeders. Too many animals are killed due to crowded shelters.
We hope to make a difference one life at a time.
Ace was found as a stray dumped in the woods in Arkansas.
He spent the first six months of his life on high alert outside in the cold, wondering if another animal or human would harm him. He has a scar on his mouth from the time he spent fighting for scraps of food outside.
Ace is safe with me because of a foster. A foster took him in temporarily while the rescue worked out transport details.
Please consider fostering.
Every dog deserves a warm bed and peace of mind.
